It's hard to believe that just over a year ago, we wondered if Ryan would ever put two words together. Now he talks ALL the time, and usually in full sentences. His sentences are getting longer & longer, and his diction & grammar are also getting better all the time. This morning he mentioned a birthday party he had gone to at a fair-type place: "You (he sometimes refers to himself in second person) ate Emma and Claire's birthday at the fair--it had sprinkles on it." To him, the words party, birthday, and cake all mean "cake"! We explained that what he ate was cake, not a birthday. He replied, "You didn't eat the birthday at the fair, you ate the birthday cake at the fair." Apparently impressed with himself, he said with surprise, "I said the whole thing!"
